ABOUT ELKTON, VA

Welcome to Elkton, a small town of approximately 3,000 residents nestled on the east side of Rockingham County, Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley.

Situated between Massanutten Mountain and Shenandoah National Park, the connections between this charming town and the rest of the world are endless.  Located only 20 minutes to Interstate 81 between Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, Elkton is a crossroads for adventure and small-town hospitality.

Elkton played an important role in the rich and complex history of our country. Originally home to various groups of Native Americans, this area became a preferred destination for immigrants.  First settled as Conrad's Store and later renamed Elkton, the town's most famous historical landmarks include the Miller-Kite House and the Jennings House, both holding roles in national and local history during the American Civil War.

Present day Elkton is thriving with new small businesses and offers a unique, small town living experience.  Whether new buds are sprouting from the trees, or piles of red and gold leaves cover the ground, Elkton is a beautiful place to spend time outside with friends.
