Stanardsville Houses & Cabins - Serenity at the Summit

We loved the cabin, it had everything my family and I needed for a week long stay in the mountains. It had great views, a hot tub and a nice seized kitchen for preparing meals. We also liked that it was close to Shenandoah National Park and Massanutten. The close town of standardsville has a nice coffee shop and a few good restaurants.

We had a great stay. The cabin was as described and in a great location — close enough to groceries, gas, food, and hikes — but remote enough for peaceful seclusion. We enjoyed the cozy cabin layout and especially the hot tub. Wish we would have stayed another day!

This cabin is absolutely breathtaking from the moment you drive up in the front yard round- about to the rustic cabin feel and beautiful wooden furnishings throughout. The craftsmanship is amazing. From the moment you walk in the front door, you will be in awe of the coziness and the beautiful mountain views through every window
The open view to nature through the A Frame windows upstairs add even more to the coziness of this cabin. The secluded hot tub on the back porch was perfect to relax and rejuvenate. Although the cabin is secluded, there are neighboring cabins close enough to feel neighborly but far away enough to maintain the privacy expected for a weekend getaway in the mountains. If you are looking for a place to relax and get back to nature, this cabin is the best kept secret on this cabin is the best kept secret on Lydia Mountain and you don't want to miss it. This cabin is super clean and spotless.

This was an excellent property. There are so many things we loved about it. The management company was very responsive and communicative. They provided a significant starter bag of essentials for the first night. The cabin was extremely clean and well equipped. The attention to detail was evident in every room. The extra linens, comfy beds, charging stations, lighting, spacious bathrooms, fire pit, wrap around porch, hot tub, wifi, tv, gas fireplace, and best appointed kitchen I've ever seen in a rental, all made our stay enjoyable. We stayed over the Christmas week and I requested a few decorations inside the cabin. I was pleasantly surprised when we stepped into the cabin and found a decorated Christmas trees and lights. This is one of our favorite rentals we've ever stayed in. We will be back to further explore the beautiful sights and trails.

What an amazing cabin tucked away on Lydia mountain. The owners were very attentive via text to make sure we had everything we needed. Downstairs bedroom and bath. Cozy living room with fireplace. If I have a negative it would be the 1/4 mile drive to the cabin. Road is very bumpy. Wouldn’t recommend a car. But everything else was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful accommodation inside & out. The layout of the home and property was excellent and it was a great spot to bring our pups. We enjoyed nights out by the fire pit and my husband really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. I do wish the kitchen had more basic provisions such as olive oil. And it would be nice if checkout was at 11 am, which is typical at other places we've stayed.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for as a very private getaway with no views of other cabins nearby. The kitchen had all the basics and we only needed to bring consumables I.e. aluminum foil, Kleenexes, sandwich bags, etc. The last mile to the cabin is very narrow and the last hill to get there had some loose gravel spots that we spun tires on when it was dry and wet. Although a bit out of the way, small price to pay for this gorgeous location and exactly as pictured. Highly recommend and we are looking forward to returning here in the future.

Beautiful property with easy access to trails at the national park. The hot tub was perfect and the property was very clean and well appointed. The only thing i could suggest is covering the firewood. We were looking forward to the firepit, but it rained the night we arrived and we couldn't use the wood for the rest of the trip. But that was a very minor inconvenience and there was plenty to do outside of having a campfire. Would recommend to family and would stay again!

Simply magical! Cabin life with all the amenities. There is nothing the the owner did not think about. Love the hot tub after a day of hiking. Very comfortable beds, everything is impeccably clean, washer and dryer were a very nice bonus, they even had robes for us which was nice after the hot tub. We will be coming back again. Just make sure that you come with a truck or an SUV, you will need it to get up the rocky hill.

We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again! Just as pictured. We most enjoyed the beautiful location. The hot tub was great - we were enchanted by the stars and lightning bugs each night. Our only suggestion would be to provide the check in details sooner (they weren’t available until 2 hours before check in, and 24-48 hours ahead of time is more customary). Also, we did okay with the road to the home, but some people may have found it a bit rugged and slow paced. But I wouldn’t let that deter booking. This place was GREAT!

We stayed 4 nights during Easter. It was perfect. We love the Lydia Mountain location. This was our first time at this cabin with our daughter and dog. Our favorite. We love exploring Stanardsville, Alun’s pottery place down the hill, the Shenandoah caverns, and of course, all the hikes we did. The cabin was perfect for lazy mornings of coffee and breakfast on the deck overlooking the mountains. Evenings ended with dinner, wine, and hot tub after our adventures. Listening to the stream below and gazing at the stars while making smores. Cabin was so clean and exactly as described with all the amenities. The laundry was a bonus. Thank you!

Me and My daughters enjoyed our peaceful quiet stay. The cabin was spacious for the 4 of us, clean, private, beautiful surroundings. It was very nice. I suffer from bad allergies during this type of year but the Mountain air was fresh and my allergies was not as bad. I will return again. This is a nice spot to relax, enjoy nature, meditate, reflect and journal. I also love that they had a washer and dryer and all utensils and pans and pots if you needed them. So convenient. Had a great time .

Had a great time. Would love to make it back another time. Got a little nervous on the drive up (incline and dirt road), but we’re FL people. Is wasn’t that bad. Once we got used to it we were zipping back and forth.

This cabin is very well taken care of both inside and out! It is located near the top and my car made it up with no problem, although the ride was a tad bumpy with low profile tires.
It was a perfect place to relax for just my husband and myself, I also liked that it had a bedroom and bathroom on each floor if we wanted to bring anyone with us next time. The cabin was extremely clean on the inside and no cobwebs or leaves on the deck, which says a lot when you’re surrounded by woods. The deck had a gate on it, making it totally enclosed, which could be helpful if you have little ones with you. They had plenty of split firewood for the fire-pit in the yard and a gas fireplace in the cabin for the cooler months. We will definitely consider renting this cabin again.

Beautiful location and privacy.
Some back road twists and turns but my car was able to make it up the mountain without issue.
Close and convenient to stores and restaurants (10-15min drive).
Easy check-in and check-out process and the host communicated quickly!
