Massanutten Resort Houses & Cabins - Whiskey Lodge

Quiet family weekend & this was perfect. There are other houses close by but this one is at the end of the lane, the back deck faces the woods so it feels more private. You have access to a lot of the resort activities if you want, wasn't our speed but nice to have!

Nice place and location, lots of space. A little over a mile from the slopes and the access to the indoor pools was really nice! Right between both indoor pool locations.

Our family of 5 just plus our two dogs spent two nights here and everything was great! Easy to get in and out of, very clean, safe and spacious. We would definitely stay here again. We loved how pet friendly the place was.

The kitchen was one of the best “stocked” in terms of dishes, pots, pans etc. - one of the best we have been in. Nice quiet location. Just a terrific experience.

We enjoyed family and friends at this mountain getaway. Visiting my daughter attending JMU, this house was great for family and friends and we could bring our family dog, which my daughter especially appreciated. The house was just as listed, clean, and comfy. We enjoyed playing games at the big kitchen table, enjoyed meals together and just chillaxin. We will be back!!!

The house exceeded our expectations! Our experience with mountain rentals are that they always feel smaller than the pictures. This home was different. We were surprised by how spacious the place was. It had all the cookware we needed, but we did need to get dish soap and sponges to clean the non-dishwasher dishes.
Our kids loved the indoor pools and playgrounds on property. We would definitely return!

My family booked this place for a trip to Massanutten. It was a great location and a really nice, comfortable stay. Communication was easy and we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful property. Clean and nicely decorated. Only negatives: No dish sponge, salt or pepper and no ice maker. Those are very minor issues. Just our notes. We may rebook this property in the future. We loved it!

We were 'homeless' for a few days as we were getting the floors re-done in the main living area of our house. We had planned to live out of the basement of our house, but the smell of the wood stain was too overwhelming.
Crisis set in, as we scrambled to find alternative housing. Airbnb was a Godsend, as we were able to find a spacious, reasonably-priced house in the very community which we had lived in several decades ago and had come to love!
Everything about our stay from the fabulous local restaurants to the 4 nice bucks that bedded down in the culdesac we were on and the quiet peaceful surroundings were just the answer to our prayers!

Nice home. Clean and comfy. Great location to get to resort activities. At the home itself no game room. Dartboard no darts. Unable to use tv downatairs due to no parental code. The onsite resort and property staff sent us on a scavenger hunt to get our rec passes but once we spoke to Veronica wirh Trip Forth she was able to give us clear directions on how to get them. She also put in a message to the host regarding the parental code but we didn't get it on time. The house was perfect for what we needed. Peaceful. Beautiful and relaxing.

My family was traveling to visit family in Virginia and we wanted to stay at Massanutten. We found this property and we immediately felt it would fit our needs perfectly. We were correct. The property looks exactly like the photos and we were very pleased. We did have a little problem figuring out the downstairs heating but overall we were able to get it comfortable. The property was perfect for our teen children as it had tons of games and plenty of space. We loved the location of this property as it was close enough to the base of the mountain to make traveling to town easy! We are very pleased with the entire trip. Communication with the host was amazing and they were super easy to work with.

The property was exactly as advertised. There was lots of room to spread out with a very well stocked kitchen for having big family meals. There were amole dishes, pots and serving pieces. I would definitely come back! My only frustration with the property was that there was no information on how to use the heating system or electric fireplaces. Within the unit. It was a cold, rainy weekend and the fireplace would have been nice. On-site property information and guides would be very helpful. After contacting the agent we still couldn’t figure it out. Also, I agree with another renter that it would have been nice to have more chairs outside (if the weather had cooperated)!

Had an amazing stay at the Whiskey Lodge! Property is beautiful, we woke up to a mother deer and her fawn in the backyard. The lodge itself is great! Plenty of bedrooms and space with the finished basement/bar. Super easy check in and communication, we were able to effortlessly extend our stay an extra day to avoid driving home in the rain. We plan to return next time we are visiting the area.

The only suggestions I would have would be to have more chairs on the porch (there was only one) and to send the check out information earlier (so people know what you expect, I attempted to find it on the internet, but couldn't find instructions prior to text). We were very happy with our stay.

Such a wonderful last minute escape! The home felt so private, check in was a breeze, the home was CLEAN, and the communication from the host was prompt. We even had access to the Massanutten Resort recreation centers at no extra cost, which was great when a rain storm came through. We look forward to our next visit!
