We had a wonderful stay at this home and truly found it to be marvelous. There were eight of us in our group, and the house offered plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy their own activities without ever feeling crowded. It was perfect for a family stay.We really enjoyed the recreation games provided, and overall the home felt very well cared for and thoughtfully set up. One detail we especially appreciated was that the light switches throughout the house were clearly labeled — such a small thing, but incredibly helpful. The only suggestion we would offer is adding a small sign near the fireplace with simple on/off instructions, as the directions in the online manual were a bit confusing. A physical binder in the home with instructions and local recommendations would also be a nice touch.The house was well stocked with plenty of pillows and blankets, and the laundry room was fantastic — the extra hooks were perfect for hanging damp ski gear. We were also grateful to have access to an electric skillet and a crockpot, which made meals much easier for a large group.One small note for future guests: the coffee maker requires cone filters, which we didn’t realize ahead of time and brought the wrong kind. Lastly, we made great use of the hot tub, which was very clean and ready for us upon arrival.Overall, this was a comfortable, well-maintained home that worked beautifully for our family, and we would absolutely recommend it to others.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions: we’ll add a small sign by the fireplace with simple on/off instructions, place a printed binder in the home with appliance directions and local recommendations, and post a note (and keep spare cone filters) by the coffee maker. The pictures dont do justice for how beautiful and spacious this house is! We enjoyed being here with our children for a weekend getaway with plenty of beds, lounge space and outdoor seating. The Property was amazing. Felt like more than enough space for our party of 11. From the back patio, to spacious back area, to the private balcony in the master suite, this property will continue to amaze you. And being on the resort made it very easy to take advantage of the resort amenities. Would definitely come back!

We were a group of 8 adults and 3 kids and the place was 5 star. We wanted and got 4 queen or king beds for the 4 couples, and a room for the kids. The cabin is really beautiful - and even the 5 and 7 year olds could tell you it was a special place to stay - echoed by every adult. Everything was in perfect condition, and the team greeted us by texts, responded to us, let me know I forgot my iPad and are sending it along. We placed two SOS calls while there, a fix for a dislodged bunk bed ladder and an uncooperative heat control for the hot tub. In both incidents they were immediately responsive. The area and resort are lovely - unfortunately we had to hunt a bit to figure out what pool was open at the resort, being there the week after schools reopened. However, there was still lots to do and hiking was magnificent, and there are challenging trails. It was a lovely place, and we will be back.

My group and I absolutely loved this cabin! The hosts were very responsive and helped us every step of the way, before and during our stay. Omg this place and this host were above and beyond what we were expecting! The pictures truly do not do it justice. It was huge with plenty of space for everyone to come together as well as spread out and do our own things. I came with 13 people for a Friendsgiving and we all felt very at home and did not feel crowded at all. The host was so responsive from the second I booked two months ago until my group checked out. It was really better than we expected and we even saw some cute deer outside. I would suggest this house to EVERYONE!!! Very clean and cozy. It was perfect for our weekend and lovely in the fall time with the changing leaves. It was also the easiest check in I’ve had with an Airbnb and I knew that whatever I needed the host was only a message away and I would get a super fast response.

Great property! It was even bigger than what I expected. Plenty of things worth doing year round near here. The large master shower and hot tub are great to relax in after hiking Shenandoah or other exploring. Also lots of space, bedrooms, and places to sleep for large groups.

The photos are beautiful yet somehow still don’t do the cabin justice: this is an incredible place. Peaceful and private, with visits from deer and fox just outside the door during our stay, even though it’s on a cul de sac close to everything you need - activities, restaurants, grocery, breweries, etc. Plenty of space inside and out to spread out and find nooks for reading or movies or naps (a particular fave was the swing on the screened in porch). Even the teen/tween set couldn’t resist the lure of the fun of the pool, foosball and ping pong tables or hang man on the white board. Kitchen had everything we needed for a few meals in (including coffee and some basic spices like salt, pepper, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, cooking spray). Bathrooms were spacious and felt new with plenty of hot water and towels. Hot tub was clean and a perfect spot to wind down our days. Would definitely recommend and return! We booked this property at the very last minute. It was such a great find and perfect for our family getaway. There was plenty of space for our family of 14 and the house had everything we needed for the weekend stay. The kids really enjoyed all the games especially shooting pool. Only 25 minute drive to Harrisonburg and minutes from resort amenties. VPMS was very explicit with all instructions which I appreciated. Nothing was left out and I had no questions about anything. We loved this place. It had so many nice areas inside and out for all of us to gather and enjoy each other‘s company. Enjoyed the hot tub, ping-pong table, pool table, and the foosball table as well. We also liked that it was pretty close to the Shenandoah national park.

My friends and I stayed here when we traveled to Lakeland for our childhood friend's wedding. This property was perfect for us! There were 4 adults (2 single people and a couple) and we had plenty of room. The unit and rooms are very spacious, and everything was very clean. These also have to be the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in at a rental property! The unit is located in walking distance of so many things from cute coffee shops to retail stores, to a scenic lake and park. We were just a 5 minute drive away from all things we did wedding related. There are some standard city noises such as a train and the occasional siren (police and fire departments close by) but it was minimal and we didn't find the noise to be disruptive or bothersome. This property could not have been a more convenient, comfortable place for us! We would definitely stay again if we returned to Lakeland.

My family loved this house. We loved everything except for the lack of televisions. I understand the goal of bringing families together and spending quality time, however, a television in the front room would have been nice to enjoy a movie by fireplace. Also, the trash disposal process is very inconvenient. Families should focus on vacation and relaxing and not have to worry about driving to dispose of trash. Perhaps a better process like leave it in the garage in a specific bin would suffice. Everything else was superb!

An Amazing property for a group. We had 3 families and visiting our JMU students. It can be a little far if you have to go back and forth a few times to campus while visiting. If you can stay put and enjoy the resort you will have no regrets. I would love to come back for a family vacation. We enjoyed the games, pool table, fuse ball, and hot tub. Gas fireplaces were very relaxing and you feel like you are in a treehouse with the incredible view out of the main window. Highly recommend!

What a great house! Way more than enough space for our family of four - this house could comfortably fit a few families! We were there to hike the trails of Shenandoah National Park (which was AWESOME), but the house was so comfortable and well equipped - we could have spent the entire week right there! So quiet and peaceful - loved being greeted by a family of deer in our backyard each morning :-). The Massanutten Resort seemed to have lots of great amenities but we were totally focused on hiking in SNP. The hosts were great and highly responsive - we would definitely use VRMS again if we return - and would recommend them to anyone traveling that way!

Property was advertised and was an excellent spot for a large group. Great room with huge windows was the perfect place to visit and catch up with friends as was the very functional kitchen and large dining table. Two different rec areas with games are great for relaxing fun, and the hot tub is perfect; fits four easily and could fit more. All-in-all a great spot that I definitely recommend.

This is a great cabin! Highlights for us and our kids included the hot tub and back deck, porch swing on the deck off the master bedroom, fireplace upstairs, and pool table and ping pong. Amazing cabin. Very specious, great location, and well maintained. The hot tub was great for us and the little ones. We had a party with 4 adults and 3 children and could have had at least 1 more family stay with us. Kids had a ton of fun with all the games at the house. Cool brewery about 12 minutes away and everything else you might need about 10 minutes away. They are strict about check in and check out times but that might be because it is hosted by a company.

Only note that I think isn’t obvious: in winter hunting season means all the hiking trails at Massanutten resort are closed. There is other stuff close by, but worth knowing before you go expecting to take kids on walks like we did.

We had a group of 10 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house. The house was very clean, spacious (we never felt on too of one another), conveniently located, and had plenty of indoor entertainment options (hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, and 2 big tvs) for everyone. In addition, the kitchen was large and well equipped. We also thoroughly enjoyed the two fireplaces. My only suggestion is to have trash disposal included in the cost of the rental. Having to take the trash, in your own vehicle, to the “bear proof” dumpster was a big inconvenience given the early check-out time (10am). Else our stay was great and we are hoping to rent this house again in the near future.

The lodge was in excellent condition, clean and perfect for large groups. There were parts of the lodge that we did not get to use because it was so expansive. The games and amenities worked perfectly and were kept up to date. The setting was remote enough to be private but still able to access the local attractions quickly.

My group had a great time staying here. Check-in was very easy and the place looked and featured all of the things as described. The property was very clean and well organized. I appreciated all of the labels on the light switches around the house as we were getting familiar with it over the weekend. Everyone here really enjoyed their time with each other after not seeing each other for quite some time since the beginning of COVID. We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub as well as all the games set up in the house. Would absolutely stay here again!

This is a very nice home. It is a bit of a drive once in the resort. It’s nestled in the woods, so there isn’t a view, but it’s a very relaxing setting. Although we encountered a few minor maintenance problems, this home is very well maintained overall. The sofa beds were poor, but the couches themselves were comfortable enough to sleep on. There is a lot of separate spaces so it’s nice for small groups to interact in different areas. We enjoyed the hot tub. Detailed instructions for the hot tub and heater/ac and fireplace remote controls would have been helpful. There are hefty fees for leaving any trash in your house when you check out and for things like not returning the pool pass, so beware if you have a large group that they know. The front door locks automatically so make sure you know the code or have it with you.

Great stay for our large vacation group!
We enjoyed staying in and enjoying the homes many amenities but also loved being close to the many Massanutten Resort activities. The hot tub, pool table, large tv’s for movies, game loft, and plenty of room to congregate in the kitchen and upstairs living area were some of the home’s favorite spots. The owners pool, base camp, adventure park and water park were some of our favorite resort activities. Whether we stayed in or went out we had an of things to do within a very close proximity.
We had a variety of ages ranging from 3 to 65 and everyone loved the stay! Plenty of sleeping areas. Lots of stairs with only one room on the main level so be aware of this when planning who bunks where.
Management team was very responsive and we had all the information we needed for the stay. Be prepared to take your trash to the local dumpster area about 1 - 2 miles away as to not attract bears. We didn’t mind and made it a morning routine. Easy check in and check out. Lots of towels and linens, blankets, pillows, etc. Very clean home but decks could use a power washing.
Although we went in the summer I can imagine the winter season is just as fun and a whole new way to experience the home.
Overall a really great experience! The mountains were calling and we are glad we went!

We had a great stay! The house was very large and accommodating for 11 guests, with ample space outdoors to enjoy each other’s company safely amidst Covid. The management team is quick to respond to requests.
Only two notes for guests: there was not enough toilet paper provided, so you may want to pack your own and the trash bags provided are incredibly small and flimsy (you also have to take the trash to the dumpsters, so be sure to bring your own heavy duty bags!).

We are very sorry to hear you didn't have enough toilet paper. We do provide starter rolls and typically there are three rolls in each bathroom plus extra in the cabinets.

We wished you would have reached out during your stay about the trash bags. There are different sized bags we provide in the home, and there is a thicker and larger sized bag for the kitchen trash cans. Possibly you grabbed the smaller, bathroom waste can liners by mistake? We would have been happy to make sure you had the larger, thicker bags available for your use if we had known you were experiencing any concerns.

This was a perfect getaway for a working week for all 9 of us. We each had plenty of room to do our teleworking from the cabin and the hefty wifi speed made sure we didn’t slow each other’s bandwidth down. The kitchen was perfect for cooking huge meals. There was more than enough space for people to have their privacy from the group. The social areas were awesome, we utilized every single space of this house, from the ping pong table, hot tub, pool table, television, and kitchen living room. This is truly a great getaway. Thanks to the rental company for setting up and being very communicative. We had to leave our trash and take the $50 fee but that was on us and had nothing to did with this property. 5 out of 5. We’ll be back!

My family stayed here for 3 days as a Christmas vacation. The house was absolutely perfect! Plenty of room for all of us and the amenities were so much fun! We loved the hot tub, pool table and ping pong table. Fun for the whole family.

AMAZING AIR BnB!!!! We booked this place for a quick weekend getaway. The minute we all walked in, we immediately regretted that we booked the place for only 2 nights. We wanted to stay there for a whole week. The place was beyond our expectations. Super clean and luxurious house. If you are looking for a place to exclude yourselves from the crazy world and be at peace, this is the place for you! The scenery was beautiful. Waking up in the morning, drinking hot coffee and looking out of the HUGE windows into the mountains was priceless. The booking process and their interactions were all simple. We absolutely loved it, we WILL be booking the same house for a longer period of time in the near future!

The house was great! Lots of fun games and things to do but also a very relaxing space. One thing to note, the hiking trails in the resort were all closed for hunting this time of year so we had to drive to Shenandoah park. It was beautiful but about 30-40 minutes away.

This house is amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. There are multiple play spaces for children. The bedrooms and common areas are comfortable. The kitchen is well-appointed. The house is set on a hill with beautiful views. We were very happy with kids there.

My family had been looking forward to this vacation for almost 10 months and it did not disappoint. The Lodge was so spacious and comfortable that even with 14 people, (7 adults and 7 children), everyone was able to relax and enjoy each other's company or breakaway for some quite time. The house was immaculate (it is easy to notice when you are on the ground with 2 crawling infants) and surprisingly soundproof, which was essential for when children needed naps and early bedtimes and the adults were staying up to hangout. We had a blast exploring the resort and local area, but really, the house made the vacation. We cannot wait to get back and are already planning our next trip!

This space was fantastic for my moms 60th birthday. The jacuzzi is amazing. Bring your own hammock if you can. The surrounding area has everything you would want and need for daily activities. Very relaxing stay. Our family had a blast!

This property really does have it all. The cabin is immaculate and amazing. On nice days, I spent most of my time on the secluded and peaceful patio watching the deer and chipmunks. If it rains, there is plenty to do inside. The property manager was incredibly responsive. I ran out of propane; Mary immediately responded to my text and had someone deliver a replacement tank within an hour. I loved everything about my stay.

Had a great time with a group of friends. There is ample space and a very functional kitchen. Everything was clean and things like big jenga, a pool table and foosball make for fun nighttime activities. Hot tub was a plus as well.

This Cabin was a great place to gather our family for a Christmas Vacation Getaway. The setting is perfect and there were lots of things to enjoy. Our SC kids loved Snow Tubing and the games of pool and ping pong were fun. Loved sitting in the living room with large windows to puzzle or read books or just sit and talk. The home was awesome and immaculate. It was very close to all the winter sports activities and only a little bit away from the waterpark. It looks just like the pictures only better. Deer were constantly in the yard, which thrilled the young kids. Wish the master bedroom had a TV. We all had a great time.

We needed a break from the Northern Virginia scene and an escape to the Shenandoah was perfect! This is a stunning home. My friends and I spent a weekend here in the fall and were deeply impressed with the home. The entire place is beautiful and has lots of fun amenities including a hot tub and multiple games. We were disappointed that the fireplace wasn't working, as we had been told prior to our arrival, but we didn't end up missing it. Mary was very communicative, though was slow to answer about checkout times. We will very likely be staying again - hoping to make this an annual trip! Highly, highly recommend.

This house could not be more perfect. Settled beautifully within Massanutten resort, it's surrounded by activities (both on the resort, and in the surrounding towns). The house was easy to find, check-in was seamless, the property is clean, and there's so much to do. Perfect for friend or family gatherings.

It's a no brainer. You must stay here. The host is very welcoming. She even left me a personalized message because I was celebrating a new job. Three are so many rooms that space is never a problem. Everything you need to cook is in the kitchen. The master bedroom is gorgeous. The swing was perfect when you wanted to experience outside while still being inside. Would love to return!

It is a beautiful property inside the resort which makes it awesome to go to indoor waterpark, hike or golf. House is big enough and got separation to have a large group of people. It was perfect house with all the amenities to spend a great trip with friends and family.
