Beautiful, very quiet, and secluded property. I would note if you plan on staying at this house keep in mind you probably want to take a 4x4 vehicle. It rained our first day and let’s just say thankfully I have a Tacoma! The house is on top of a mountain with a couple mile drive up a dirt road, just something to keep in mind when planning your trip! The accommodations were great, and the hot tub with a nice woodsy view was nice. Only other thing I could recommend is make sure you stop and get all your essentials before arrival as it takes 30 minutes to get back into town. 10/10 regardless would definitely consider going back if planning another trip in the area!

Scott, thanks for staying with us and for the great review. Glad you enjoyed the quiet, secluded mountain setting and the hot tub. Appreciate the heads-up about the dirt road and needing a 4x4 or higher-clearance vehicle in wet conditions. We’d love to host you again if you’re back in the area!

Absolutely stunning property. Everything matched the description. Spotless and clean from top to bottom. The jacuzzi and fire pit were nice touches. Me and my wife stayed for 2 nights, the first day was sunny and beautiful and the second day was a winter storm and snowed about 5-6 inches. Scenery was absolutely beautiful both sunny and snowy. The roads leading to the house was a bit of an obstacle. Very rural, windy, gravel road. We drove in the absolute worst car for this type of road (370z) but we still managed to drive up and down just fine. Although if we were going up while there was snow, I don't think there would be a chance lol. Other than the road leading up the house, the property was perfect and we will definitely visit again, maybe not in a 370z lol.

Sakti, thanks for staying with us and for the great review. Glad the property matched the listing and was spotless, and that you and your wife enjoyed the jacuzzi, fire pit, and the scenery in both sun and snow. Appreciate the note about the rural, windy gravel road — it can be tricky in winter, so a higher-clearance or AWD vehicle is best if you return during snowy conditions. We’d love to host you again!

Really cute cabin! It's pretty private, clean and they are very communicative. The access was the only surprise for us; the property is on a long, steep, gravel road and the driveway is a little tricky. We were able to get our minivan up in dry conditions, but if we had realized, we would have chosen a vehicle with more ground clearance and preferably 4wd.

Thanks for the 5-star review! Glad you found the cabin cute, private, clean, and that our communication worked well. Appreciate the heads-up about the long, steep gravel road and tricky driveway — we’ll make sure vehicle/access details are clearer in the listing so future guests can plan accordingly. We’d love to host you again. — TripForth team

We stayed here for a weekend trip to Shenandoah National Park & it was a perfect location for it (took 30 minutes to get to the park entrance, then another 30 minutes to get to the Blackrock Summit trailhead.) The only recommendation I have for future visitors is to try not to drive the Overlook Mountain Road leading to the house at night - tons of dips and holes, unpaved, wildlife on the sides, and no major lights nor service. We have a Honda Passport and even with an SUV it was rough. The house was well stocked with pots and pans, and they left a bag with a few additional items like paper towels, toilet paper, two washer pods (bring detergent if you want to use the laundry), a sponge and soap for dishes (there is no dishwasher), & only one of each, small shampoo & conditioner (just bring your own.) The air conditioning was perfect for the 1st floor only. The hot tub was amazing after hiking for two days…& we loved the grill and fire pit. This is an incredible place for stargazing!

We loved our stay here at the cabin! We had everything we needed in the kitchen, we loved the space and the outdoor deck with the hot tub and the yard! It was such a peaceful getaway that felt like we were away from the rest of the world, just be prepared with food and what you want to bring with you as the gravel road is pretty difficult and uneven to get there. We traveled down and up a few times as we went to massanutten but tried to keep it to a minimum because of this. Overall great stay!

Thank you for sharing your experience, Sara. We're glad you enjoyed the cabin, the kitchen amenities, and the peaceful outdoor space with the hot tub. We appreciate your tip about the gravel road, and hope it didn't detract from your overall stay. We’d be happy to host you again for another relaxing getaway!

Great location perfect for a family getaway in the mountains. Kitchen well stocked with supplies, plenty of room to accommodate everyone. Hot tub was great, and we got to see some wildlife throughout our stay. The only thing I would mention is the mowing and tree trimming that was done right before our check in (leaving all the outside area covered in wet grass), and some difficulties with retrieving the door code from the guide. The management team was helpful in providing the door code and helping us to get in.
Iryna - Posted: 6/21/2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the great location, spacious kitchen, and the hot tub — plus those special moments spotting wildlife. We appreciate you letting us know about the mowing and tree trimming timing; we’ll work to better coordinate maintenance around guest arrivals in the future.
We’re also happy our team was able to assist promptly with the door code and help get you settled in smoothly. We hope to welcome you and your family back for another mountain getaway soon!

We spent 7 nights in this very quiet, very peaceful, very relaxing house. It was just my husband and I and the house has plenty of space for couples or larger groups as there were 3 other beds and a whole upstairs space that we didn’t use.
The hot tub was a real treat - lying back looking at the stars and the mountains in complete silence….bliss!
We made good use of the outdoor firepit as well as the indoor wood burning stove.
Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed and we brought enough food and supplies that we didn’t leave the house at all. The road up to the house is winding and we were happy that we didn’t need to go up and down any more than getting to the house and then leaving. Having everything we needed meant we happily hunkered down and enjoyed the quiet and peaceful hours…
A great getaway.
