Vacation Rental Property Consultant Position

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

As TripForth Property Consultant, you will be a key business generator responsible for accelerating deals, management leads, and building opportunities to bring new owners and inventory to the TripForth vacation rental program. The Property Consultant collaborates with the Operations Manager, Marketing Team, Owner Services Team, Inventory & Revenue Team, and Property Services Team to deliver an exceptional experience to all owners within your portfolio. 

  • Meeting homeowners through online meetings, sit down meetings, and phone calls.
  • Assisting clients to make sound decisions involving property management and vacation rental program participation.
  • Finding clients in need of rental property management services through networking, advertising, and business presentations.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with owners, real estate agents, and the community.
  • Analyzing market trends and demographics to identify program suitable candidates.
  • Manipulating, understanding, and interpreting key historical, market, and home data to determine accurate rental performance projection data using formulated technology.
  • Consulting with clients to identify their needs, preferences, and program suitability.

  • Maintain and prioritize an extensive database of all property leads to include for sale or transitioning homes.
  • Developing strategies to increase the value of rental properties.
  • Conducting negotiations with real estate agents on behalf of clients.
  • Communicating with legal counsel when necessary.

Essential Physical Abilities:
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas and vacation rental homes, such as climbing staircases, enduring inclines, reaching, bending, and stooping.
  • Remain in stationary position for a maximum eight hours (excluding meal and rest breaks) throughout work shift.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with clients and fellow team members.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

  • High school diploma of GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field experience.
  • Proven experience in property management or real estate.
  • Degree and/or experience in Property Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or relevant field is desired, but not required.
  • Sound knowledge of real estate laws.
  • Broad knowledge of the Shenandoah Valley vacation rental market.
  • Proven work experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Understanding of hotel and vacation rental management best practices.
  • Experience with HomeAway, Airbnb, etc. is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (speak, read, write); knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and a professional presentation.
